The 30-second answer
A honey season follows the flowering and nectar flow around an apiary, then the ripening and harvest of the honey. No single calendar fits every variety and region: rainfall, temperature, altitude, and beekeeping practices shift timing from year to year. Ask for the floral source, region, and approximate harvest period rather than relying on a season name alone.

Understand variety and season labels
You may see sidr, sumr, or multifloral honey. A floral label identifies the claimed main nectar source; it does not by itself prove that every drop came from one plant. The same plant can flower at different times in different places. Read the listing and ask the seller where the hives were, when flowering and harvest occurred, and whether this is one floral source or a blend. A name or price alone does not verify origin.
