Section 01

Who is responsible for your data?

HoneySouq is currently a project name operated by its owner in a personal capacity. The project owner decides why data is used within the platform. You can contact us about your data through the support center or at support@honeysouqhub.com. An independent seller may separately be responsible for information it keeps outside the platform to fulfil an order or meet its legal duties. The owner's full name and formal contact details will be added to this policy before public commercial operation begins.

Section 02

What data do we collect?

We collect what is needed to create an account and serve you: your name, email, mobile number, addresses and any location you choose, plus sign-in and account security details. We keep cart, order, payment, shipping, return, favourites, followed stores, reviews, seller and support messages, and files you send. For sellers, this can include store information, verification documents, payout details, products, sales, and settlements. We do not store your full card number when an independent payment provider handles the transaction.

Section 03

Where does the data come from?

Need the terms page too?

Review the general terms and policies for buying, selling, and support inside the platform.

Most data comes directly from you when you register, buy, sell, or contact us. We also learn how the platform is used, such as pages and products visited, visit time, and your cookie choice. A seller, carrier, payment provider, or sign-in provider may send information linked to an order. We may also receive approximate device and connection location information for security and fraud prevention.

Section 04

Why do we use it?

We use data to do what you ask us to do: run your account, complete payment and delivery, let the seller serve you, process returns and refunds, and provide support. We use the minimum necessary to protect accounts, prevent fraud, prove transactions, and meet legal duties. Product measurement and targeted marketing are used only according to your choice, which you can withdraw at any time.

Section 05

Who receives the data?

We do not sell your data. We share only what is needed with the seller handling the order, carriers or couriers, payment providers and banks, and companies that help with hosting, file storage, email, notifications, and support. If you choose measurement or marketing, limited information may go to analytics and advertising providers. We may disclose data where required by an authority or court, or to a buyer of the business that must continue protecting it.

Section 06

Does data leave Saudi Arabia?

Some providers that help with hosting, security, email, analytics, and artificial intelligence operate outside Saudi Arabia or through globally distributed data centres. This means some data may be processed abroad when the service requires it. Before that happens, we identify the need, minimise the data, select appropriate safeguards, and review risk under Saudi law. You can ask support for more information about the provider category and country connected to a particular service.

Section 07

Cookies and your choices

We use small files that are necessary for sign-in, session security, language, the cart, and remembering your privacy choice. They cannot be disabled while the core service continues to work. Product measurement and marketing cookies are optional and do not run before you agree. You can accept or reject them in the first notice, then change your choice at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer or your account settings. Rejecting them does not stop you from buying or selling.

Section 08

Assistant, translation, and transcription

When you choose the intelligent honey guide, message translation, or audio transcription, we send only the content needed to the company providing that feature. Do not put passwords, payment details, or unnecessary health information in these tools. We may review use to prevent abuse and improve safety. Assistant responses are general guidance, not medical or legal advice and not a guarantee about a product.

Section 09

How long do we keep data?

We keep account and order information while the account is open, then as needed to settle orders, disputes, accounting, and legal duties. Bank-transfer receipt images may be kept for up to seven years. Raw measurement events are kept for up to 180 days and summaries for up to 24 months; assistant conversations are usually kept for 90 days; a prepared data export remains available for only 72 hours; and an active session lasts no more than 30 days. When there is no further need, we delete the data or separate it from your identity unless law or an open dispute requires longer retention.

Section 10

How do we protect data?

We limit access by work need, protect connections and sensitive files, monitor sign-in attempts, and offer extra verification and session controls. No service can promise that every incident will be prevented, but we respond quickly and notify the competent authority and affected people where the law requires it. You remain responsible for a strong password, a secure device, and telling us promptly about suspicious use.

Section 11

Your data rights

You can ask how we use your data, receive a clear copy, correct or complete it, destroy what is no longer needed, and withdraw permission for optional uses. Some requests can be started in account settings; others can be sent to support. We verify your identity and normally respond within 30 days. A complex request may require up to 30 additional days, in which case we will tell you why. If you are dissatisfied, you may complain to the Saudi Data and AI Authority.

Section 12

Data export and account closure

You can request a copy of your data or ask to close your account in account settings. A closure request can be cancelled during a 30-day grace period. Closure may be deferred while an order, return, balance, or dispute remains open. Once closure is complete, we delete or de-identify what is no longer needed while retaining records that law or the protection of legal rights requires.

Section 13

Use by minors

The platform is intended for people aged 18 or older. A minor may use it only with the knowledge and permission of a parent or guardian. If we learn that a minor's data was collected without an appropriate basis, we will take steps to delete it or obtain guardian permission as appropriate.

Section 14

Updates and contact

We may update this policy when our services or the law changes. We show the update date clearly and ask again if a change introduces a different optional use of your data. To ask a question or exercise a right, use the support centre or email support@honeysouqhub.com with “Privacy request” and a short explanation. Never send a password or card details.
